Carrie Lounez Lumpkin

Funeral Services for Carrie Lounez Lumpkin, age 90, will be held Sunday at 3:00 P. M. at Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lumpkin died Thursday September 22, 2011 at her residence after a long illness.

Mrs. Lumpkin was a life long resident of Ashburn and the daughter of the late Walter Alston and Annie Mae Stewart Sellars. She was widow of Christopher C. Lumpkin who died in 1973. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and was the oldest member living before her death.

She is survived by her sons W. L. (Mary Dee) Lumpkin, Rogers, Arkansas and Edward (Patricia) Lumpkin, Ashburn, Georgia and her brother Leron (Helen) Sellars, Columbus, Georgia. Her grandchildren Deedra (Ron) Branscum, Chris Lumpkin, Hugh (Priscilla ) Lumpkin, Kristy (Chad) Stone and Misty (David) Bass and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 P. M. until time of services at Harmony Baptist Church.
