Roy M. Farmer. Jr.

Funeral services for Roy M. Farmer, Jr., 81, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Rebecca Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Farmer died Wednesday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a 10 years battle with Alzheimer’s.

Mr. Farmer was born in Sycamore, Ga. and was the son of the late Roy M. Farmer, Sr. and Pauline Bruton Farmer. He was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church and was retired from the maintenance department of Homestead Homes after 45 years. He enjoyed wood working.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brooks Farmer, Sycamore, Ga., his children, W.L. (Cindy) Farmer, Dennis Farmer and Glenda Farmer, all of Sycamore, Ga. Also surviving are his brothers, Charles Farmer, Talmadge Farmer, and Robert Farmer all of Sycamore, Ga. and his sister, Lucille Brooks, Port Charlotte, Fl,. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren and two devoted caregivers, Teresa and Stephanie.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
