Katherine Coleman Giddens, 48, of Vidor, TX passed away Monday, November 7, 2011.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2011 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Monday. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, Arabi, GA.
Mrs. Giddens was born December 15, 1962 in Albany, GA to Perry Alton Coleman and Ruth Christine (Cribb) Hackett. She was a dedicated chef at Tuffy’s Restaurant in Mauriceville, TX and was considered the backbone there by many people and for many years she worked at Keith-a-que’s in Ashburn GA Kathrine was a giver and often took care of her family and friends before she would worry about herself. She was a loving sister, daughter and friend who was loved by all who knew her. More than anything else she was a wonderful mother, not only to her boys but by many of their friends who often called her “Momma Kathy”. She will truly be missed by all the people that she touched.
She is preceded in death by her father, Perry Alton Coleman and is survived by her mother, Ruth Christine Hackett of Vidor, TX; sons, Perry Scott Giddens of Ashburn, GA and Frankie Elvernice Hodge Jr. of Vidor, TX; sister, Yvonne Ullah and husband, Robert Easley of Rose City, TX and brother, Mitch Coleman of Vidor, TX. She is also survived by her nephew, Brian Heath of Vidor, TX; nieces, Staci Coleman and Dillan Coleman both of Tifton, GA and many aunts, uncles, cousins and family who all love her and will miss her.
