Funeral services for Diane Robinson, 61, of the Dakota Community in Turner County will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Evergreen-Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Worth County, Georgia. Mrs. Robinson died Tuesday on her 43rd Wedding Anniversary at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Alma, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Pauline Aliene Sumner and Edker Haywood McDonald of Alma, Georgia. She was a member of the New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Worth County. Due to her failing health she retired as the Owner and Operator of Diane’s Bakery.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lamar Robinson, Ashburn, Georgia; her children, Matthew (Ashley) Robinson, Oxford, Ga., Kansas Robinson Tippins, Nashville, Ga. , and Mark Robinson, Sycamore, Ga. Also surviving is her father, Edker McDonald, Alma, Ga., her brother and sister, Eddie McDonald and Sandra Orvin, both of Alma, Ga. and seven grandchildren, Erica Tippins, Haley Tippins, both of Rochelle, Ga., Cassidy Robinson, Addie Kate Robinson, Kaysen Robinson and Luke Robinson, all of Oxford, Ga., Kay-Bailey Robinson, Chula, Ga.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, Ga.
