Alfred Claude Hodges

Memorial services for Alfred Claude Hodges, 73, of Rochelle, Ga. will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 4:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mr. Hodges died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Hodges was born in Ashburn and had resided in Rochelle for four months. He was a former long time resident of Ashburn, Ga. He was the son of the late Alfred F. and Willie Katherine Nelson Hodges. He was a retired painting contractor and served n the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Alfred Jones, Macon, GA; two daughters, Holly Kay Bowen, Senora, CA, and Kelly Rae Castle, Arnold CA. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, James Thomas Hodges, Gordon, Ga., Charles Edward Hodges, Otto, N. C., Lois Jourden, Spring Valley, CA, and Ethel Foskey, Macon, GA.

The family will receive friends from 3:30 P.M.-4:30 P.M. Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
