Sue Ward Tripp

Funeral services for Sue Ward Tripp, 61, of Ashburn will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Tripp died Thursday at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Tripp was born in Ashburn, the daughter of the late John T. and Eula Howell Ward. She was a housewife and had resided in Turner County all of her life. She was of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of Henry Grady Tripp, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Steve A. Tripp, Sarasota, FL; two daughters, Carin (Christopher) Brooks, Sycamore, GA and Michelle Akin, Ashburn, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Brooks, Anthony Akin, Deven Brooks, Darrien Luke, Zoya Luke, Jacob Tripp, Brittany Tripp and Heather Brooks; her great-grandchildren, Karie Brooks, Kristin Brooks, Alex Tripp, Audrey Tripp, Drew Wilkerson and Josie Wilkerson; one brother, Terry Ward, Omega, GA and four sisters, Tina Tanner, Nell Handley, Melba Brown, and Teresa Ward, all of Ashburn, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
