Funeral services for Milton Cleghorn, 82, of Ashburn will be held at 2:00 P. M., Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Cleghorn died Thursday at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Cleghorn was born in Ashburn, the son of the late Rufus Collie and Flossie Mae Howard Cleghorn. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for 34 years, where he served as a deacon, treasurer, member of all committees, and was instrumental in organizing the Oak Grove Perpetual Care Cemetery Fund. He was a life time farmer and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Bullington and Mae Belflower and one brother, Melvin Cleghorn.

Mr. Cleghorn is survived by his wife, Louise Smith Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA, his children, Elaine (John) Snowden, Ashburn, GA, Glenn (Cindy) Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA, Karen (James E.) Snowden, Fitzgerald, GA, and Neal Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amber Nicole Helms, Brookfield, GA, Collie Shannondoah Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA, Sgt. Corey Shane Cleghorn, U.S. Marine Corp, Jesse Darron Snowden, Fitzgerald, GA, Samuel Benjamin Snowden, Fitzgerald, GA, Rita Laine Barrett, Fitzgerald, GA, Neelie Carol Cleghorn, Warner Robins, GA and Kaylee Rose Cleghorn, Tifton, GA; his great grandchildren: Caitlin Nicole Snowden, Fitzgerald, GA, Jack Darron Nicholson, Fitzgerald, GA, Caison Blake Snowden, Fitzgerald, GA, Hayden Bryce Snowden, Fitzgerald, GA, Kylie Rene Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA, Reece Wyatt Cleghorn, Ashburn, GA, Remington Shane Cleghorn, Arabi, Ga. and Elijah Cleghorn, Warner Robins, GA. He is also survived by two sisters, Bertie Kendrick and Hazel Bell, both of Sycamore, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
