Edgar Wayne Youngblood

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Edgar Wayne Youngblood, 87, of Milledgeville, GA will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 11, 2012 in The Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Youngblood passed away Monday in Milledgeville following an extended illness.

The son of the late John Iverson and Mattie Mae Durham Youngblood, Sr., he was born in Ashburn and was a member of the Hartland Baptist Church in Milledgeville. He was a retired security guard and spent most of his life in and around Turner Co. He served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Phil Youngblood and a granddaughter Kim Ellis.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Y. Hasty, a grandson, Will Ellis both of San Antonio, TX; three great-grandchildren, his brother, Mr. R. E. “Bobby” Youngblood, Ashburn and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Lou Chaffin, Jonesboro, GA.
