Funeral Services for Wynelle Odom Coley, 81, will be held Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Coley passed away Thursday at her residence following a lengthy illness.
The daughter of the late Daniel and Claudia Rosa Stephens Odom, she was born in Crisp County but had lived in Turner County since 1944. She was a homemaker, worked with the Census Bureau, but was most of all, a special mother and grandmother. As an active member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church, she attended the Fidelis Sunday School Class and loved going to Joyful Messengers. She had traveled to all fifty states, throughout Europe and the Holy Land and a valued member of both the Primetimers and her weekly Rummicube Club.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, A. J. Coley; her children, Ron and Barbara Coley and Phil and Vickie Coley all of Ashburn. Her Grandchildren, Bobby and Claudia Elrod, Jacksonville, Fl; Will Coley, Savannah; Allison Coley and Ashley Wynelle Coley both of Atlanta. A sister, Frances Odom, Warwick, Ga.
Flowers will be accepted but for those who wish, please make donations to the Ashburn First Baptist Church or Hospice of Tiftarea.
The Family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 till 8 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
