Dean Nipper Burdett

Funeral services for Dean Nipper Burdett, 73, of Ashburn will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Burdett passed away Saturday, May 8, at an Albany Hospital following a lengthy illness.

She was born to the parents of Iverson Deason and Annie Johnson Nipper in Turner Co., where she lived in the Oak Grove Community all of her life. A member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, she was an office assistant at the Turner Co. Elementary School in Ashburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Harrison Burdett on May 30, 1976. Fishing, working in her yards and enjoying the outdoors were her love.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherri R. Burdett of Albany; a sister, Camilla N. Posey of Ashburn; A special nephew and his wife Billy & Diane Posey, great nephews, Kent and Cole Posey all of Ailey, Ga. and several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 till 8 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
