Joe L. Odom

Graveside funeral services for Joe L. Odom, 85, of Ashburn will be held Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in Young’s Cemetery in Ben Hill County. Mr. Odom died Friday at Heritage Health Care in Ashburn.

Mr. Odom was born in Crisp County, Georgia and was the son of the late James H. and Leffie Eugene Maddox Odom. He was a retired farmer and had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Haw Pond Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kansas Joyce Odom, August 11, 2004.

Mr. Odom is survived by his wife, Faye Minshew Odom, Ashburn, GA and one sister Wynette “Tommie” O. Smith, Arabi, GA.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00-7:00 at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, GA.
