Larry Allen Copeland

Funeral services for Larry Allen Copeland, 69, of Fitzgerald, GA will be held Monday, November 5, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Copeland died Saturday at Tift Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Copeland was born in Tift County, GA the son of the late Lee Roy and Florence Cleghorn Copeland. He had lived in Fitzgerald for twenty-five years. He was a former member of the Georgia Army National Guard Reserve. He was a lifelong member of Arp Baptist Church in Irwin County, GA. He retired as a technician from Modern Fibers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Terry Lee Copeland and one infant daughter, Judy Kay Copeland.

Mr. Copeland is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rochelle Hudson Copeland, Fitzgerald, GA; three sons, Al (Wendy) Copeland, Bonaire, GA., Robbie (Kimberly) Copeland, Tifton, Ga. and Bill (Kimberly) Copeland, Rockmart, GA. Also surviving are three sisters, Diane (Larry) Gregory, Sycamore, GA, Betty (Wayne) Lamb, Ashburn, GA and Teressa (Danny) Smith, Weimar, TX. He was blessed with ten grandchildern: Stephanie Rodriquez, Charleston SC, Leigh Ann and Darryl Copeland Jr of Bonaire GA, Seth, Aaron and Matthew Smith and Colton Copeland of Tifton GA, Katheryn Foust, Will and Scarlett Copeland, Rockmart GA.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
