Zelma Taylor

Funeral services for Zelma Taylor, 84, of Ashburn, GA will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Taylor died Thursday at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Berrien County, GA and was the daughter of the late Jessie and Nancy Sweat Welch. She was a retired clothing inspector at M & W Sportswear. She had resided in Turner County for over fifty years and was a member of the High Hill Baptist Church in Turner County, GA. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved her Atlanta Braves and the Pittsburg Steelers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Swanson, Ashburn, GA. Also surviving is one brother, John Tucker, Gainesville, FL and three sisters, Delarce Sheral, Lakeland, Fl, Betty Ann Troup, and Carolyn Ray, both of Enigma, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
