Mary Alice "Peggy" Kovac

Funeral services for Mary Alice “Peggy” Kovac, 82, of Ashburn, GA will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mrs. Kovac died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Heritage Health Care in Ashburn following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kovac was born in Eaton Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Timothy and Mary Martin Bennett. She had resided in Ashburn for the last twenty years. Mrs. Kovac was retired from the Auditing Department of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan. She was the former Secretary/Manager of the Ashburn-Turner County Chamber of Commerce for eight years. She enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, painting, drawing and traveling. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years John T. Kovac, Ashburn, GA, three sons: Steven (Juanita) Kovac, Lawrenceville, GA, Eric (Margie) Kovac, Mary Esther, FL, Paul (Lisa) Kovac, Midland, MI, and one daughter, Susan (Phillip) Sanders, Jupiter, FL. Also surviving are five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one brother, James Bennett, Kalamazoo, MI.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 23, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, GA.
