Claire T. Jannot

Funeral Services for Claire Thompson Jannot, 79, of Tifton, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Perry Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow. Mrs. Jannot passed away Saturday, June 19, 2004, at Tift Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.

A native of Decatur Co., Ga. she was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Lottie White Thompson and was a longtime resident of Turner Co., before moving to Cypress Pond in Tifton. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Ashburn she was retired from Gold Kist Peanut Co as payroll clerk.

She was married to Gaylord Bernard Jannot who preceded her in death on July 30, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Emory Wells on March 10, 1951 and a son, Bobby Wells on September 14, 1949.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy J. Workman, Valdosta, Ga. and Susan Jannot, Sydney, Australia. She also is survived by two grandchildren.

The family request that for those who wish, please make donations to the American Lung Association.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 until the time of the services.
