Billy Lee

Funeral services for Billy Lee, 91, of Arabi, GA will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Lee died Saturday at Heritage Health Care following an extended illness.

Mr. Lee was born in Ashburn and was the son of the late Jessie Washington and Mary Jo Davis Lee. He was a retired farmer and bus driver for the Turner County Board of Education. He worked for many years with the ASCS Office. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II as a decorated aviator. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Shirlene McLeod Lee, and his daughter, Linda (Bill) Taylor all of Arabi, GA. Also surviving are his granddaughters, Ivey Taylor Hamilton and Lori Taylor Leon; his great granddaughter, Kylee Hamilton, all of Arabi. He is also survived by two brothers, Jessie R. (Doc) Lee, Blakely, GA and Wynton Lee, Sycamore, GA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
