Julian Wayne Speight

Funeral services for Julian Wayne Speight, 82, of Milledgeville, GA will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Speight died Friday in Athens at Landmark Hospital following an extended illness.

Mr. Speight was born in Ashburn, GA and was the son of the late Joseph Reece and Lois Ward Speight. He was a retired Insurance Salesman. He served in the U.S. Air Force; was a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church and Hasan Temple in Albany. Mr. Speight was a long time resident of Ashburn before moving to the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, GA several years ago.

Mr. Speight was preceded in death by his wife, Daphen Watson Speight, his sons Julian & Steven Speight, his brother Harold Speight and his sister Brenda S. Reynolds.

He is survived by one brother, Ralph Speight, Cordele, GA and one sister, Lynda Kay Baker, Rutherfordton, N.C.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M. Saturday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
