Jacqueline "Jackie" Davis Dalrymple

Funeral services for Jacqueline “Jackie” Davis Dalrymple, 75, of Sycamore, GA will be held Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Seville Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County. Mrs. Dalrymple died Friday at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Dalrymple was born in Wilcox County, GA and was the daughter of the late James Spurgeon “Spurge” and Gladys Cross Davis. She was a graduate of Pitts High School and a member of the 1955 State Championship Basketball team. She had lived in Turner County since 1968. She was employed at the Citizens Bank of Ashburn for twenty-eight years and Lasalle Deitch/Bristol for twenty-one years. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and the rest of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. “Bud” Dalrymple and her sister, Mildred Davis.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy & Tammy Dalrymple, Larry & Jayne Dalrymple, all of Sycamore, GA; her grandchildren, Amy (Will) Pierce, Barry (Amber) Dalrymple, & Danielle Dalrymple and two great-grandchildren, Ashton Pierce & Kourtney Pierce. Also surviving are her sisters and brother, Lounelle Vaughn, Reba Evans, both of Cordele, GA; Gayle (Newt) Hudson. Rochelle, GA; John Alfred “Alf” (Joyce) Davis, Pitts, GA.

The family will receive friends Sunday at the Bethel Baptist Church from 1:00-2:30 P.M.
