Randall H. Whiddon

Funeral services for Randall H. Whiddon, 56, of Ashburn, GA will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Turner County Civic Center with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Whiddon died Thursday in Irwin County from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while on duty.

Mr. Whiddon was born in Ashburn, GA and had resided all of his life in Turner County, GA. He was the son of the late Benjamin F. Whiddon and Hester Griffin Whiddon of Ashburn. He was a member of the Dakota Baptist Church. He was a Paramedic, Firefighter and farmer. He was the former Director of the Turner County Fire Rescue Services where he served faithfully for 34 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Wisham Whiddon, Ashburn, GA,, his children, Randall Ben Whiddon, Ashburn, GA, Kyle (Tammie) Bobo, Adel, GA and Kraig Bobo, Ashburn, GA., Missy Teate (Stacey) Hamner, Huntsville, AL and Jane Teate, Ashburn, GA. Also surviving are his mother, Hester Griffin Whiddon, Ashburn, GA, his brother R.F. “Buddy” (June) Whiddon, Ashburn, GA, and his sister, Benita (Ronald) Faircloth, Tifton, GA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
