Reba Janet Smith Avery

Reba Janet Smith Avery, 87, of Buckhead, GA passed way June 9, 2013 at Boswell Parker Nursing Home in Greensboro, GA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.

She was a long time resident of Ashburn & Sycamore, GA and Auburndale & Lakeland FL. before moving to Buckhead, GA in 2006 where she was a member of Lake Oconee Baptist Chapel. She was born December 17, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Annie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cecil Avery.

Mrs. Avery is survived by one son, Gordon Avery of Buckhead, GA; two daughters, Melba Aldridge, Fort Worth, TX and Mrya Jo Schroeder of Rio Hondo, TX; her brother, Russell Smith, Sycamore, GA and her sister, Laraine Wilson of Warner Robins, GA. She is also survived by her extended family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until service time at Perry Funeral Chapel.
