Herman McCurdy, Sr.

Funeral Services Herman L. McCurdy, Sr. age 56 of 123 Pond Circle Road, Cordele, Ga. will be held Saturday, September 4, 2004, at 4:00 P. M. at the Christian Union Church of God in Ashburn with burial to follow in Sunnyside Cemetery, Cordele, Ga. Mr. McCurdy died Friday at Crisp Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

Mr. McCurdy was a native of Irwin County, Ga. the son of the late William Bob & Clarice Estelle Day McCurdy. He was retired farmer and a member of the Christian Union Church of God.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Y. McCurdy of Cordele, children Herman McCurdy, Jr. of Ocilla, Byron McCurdy and Kellie McCurdy both of Ashburn, his brothers and sisters Hulette McCurdy, Waterloo, Ga., Royce McCurdy, Lake Park, Ga., Ben McCurdy, Ashburn, Ga., Evelyn Hiers, Statenville, Ga., Susan Gladney, Cordele, Ga. and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday evening Seven until Nine at the funeral home.
