Janice Wilkerson Adkins

Funeral Services for Janice Wilkerson Adkins, age 59, of Rebecca will be held Friday at 2:00 P. M. at the Amboy Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Adkins died Tuesday August 20, 2013 in Stockbridge, GA after an extended illness.

Mrs. Adkins was born in Fitzgerald, Ga. the daughter of Oscar and Virginia Wilkerson of Rebecca. She was retired from the Ben Hill County Board of Education as a Special Education Teacher. She was a member of the Amboy Baptist Church and the Georgia Association of Educators.

Survivors include her parents Oscar & Virginia W. Wilkerson and two brothers Frank Wilkerson and Wayne Wilkerson and three sisters Diann W. (Alvin) Howard, Delores W. (Johnny) Helms all of Rebecca and Lynn W. (Carl) Ireland of Locust Grove, GA. She is also survived by six nephews and three nieces.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from Six until Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel, 301 McLendon St.,
