Reggie Alberson

Funeral Services for Reggie Alberson, age 79 of Ashburn will be held Saturday at 11:00 A. M. at the Bethel Baptist Church in Turner County, GA with burial to follow in the Live Oak Cemetery. Mr. Alberson died Thursday August 22, 2013 at Tift Regional Medical after an extended illness.

Mr. Alberson was a native of Rebecca, Ga. the son of the late Guy Otto and Lucille Marie Fletcher Alberson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rhoda Peace Alberson and two sons Tommy Alberson and Steve Alberson. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War serving the in U. S. Air Force. He was a long time resident of Forest Park, Ga. before moving back to Turner County in 1979. He was retired from Civil Service as a Weapons Control Manager

Survivors include two sons Alan (Jennifer ) Alberson, Ashburn and David (Genia) Alberson, Rebecca and his brother Jimmy Alberson, Sycamore, Ga. and his sisters Betty Day and Charnelle Reinhardt both of Ashburn and Judy Payne of Hurt, VA. , and Five Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday evening August 23, 2013 from Six until Eight P. M. at Perry Funeral Chapel, 301 McLendon St., Ashburn, GA
