Jayme Lynne Merritt Barbee

A celebration of the life of Jayme Lynne Merritt Barbee, 34, of Sycamore, GA will be held, Sunday at 2:30 PM in the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Ms. Barbee went to her heavenly home Thursday, September 19, following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church cemetery in Turner County.

The daughter of John William and Lynn Wadsworth Merritt, she was born in Landsthul, Germany and was a member of The Journey Church in Tifton, GA. She served her country in The United States Air Force and was a homemaker. Jayme was a member of the 1997 Turner County High School graduating class.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Joseph Michael Behrend II of Goldsboro, NC, John Samuel Barbee and Andrew Nelson Barbee both of Sycamore, GA; her sisters, Beth (Joe) Hudson of Franklin, KY; Kris (Steve) Brown of Atsugi, Japan; Her twin sister, Jennifer (Tait) Merritt~Iverson, Altus, OK; Jessica (William) Tolbert~McLain, Sycamore, GA and Jodi (Will) Tolbert~Wetherington, Tifton, GA. A large number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, September 21 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
