George R. Beazly

Memorial Services for George R. Beazly, age 81 of Ashburn will be held Monday September 30, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn 1st United Methodist Church. Mr. Beazly died Tuesday at Tift Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.

Mr. Beazly was a native of Mansfield, IL and a graduate of University of Illinois. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Beazly was an agri-businessman and during his retirement years, he enjoyed maintaining his farming operation, politics and traveling overseas. He was a member of the Ashburn 1st United Methodist Church and Bradley-Goss Sunday School Class. He had been a resident of Turner County for 53 years.

Survivors include his wife Faye Heard Beazly of Ashburn and his daughters Beverly & Christopher Diaz, Sydney, Australia and April & Thomas Lyerly, Marietta, GA. and his grandchildren Rachel Diaz and Rebecca Diaz of Sydney Australia and Courtney Lyerly, Kirsten Lyerly and Chloe Lyerly all of Marietta, GA and his brothers James Beazly, Florence, S. C. and Dean Beazly, Mansfield, Il. and his sister Mary Louise Koch, Monticello, IL.

The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M.
