Joyce Kennedy

Funeral services for Joyce Kennedy, 78, of Chula, GA will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Kennedy passed away Wednesday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

The daughter of the late Tommy David and Bonnie Lucille Vanzant Hendricks, she was born in Ashburn where she lived for many years before moving to Chula in 2008. A member of the Baptist Faith, she loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She was retired secretary from the Turner County Board of Education. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Kennedy, SR, a sister Eleane Denham and a brother Tommy Hendricks, JR.

Survivors include her son, Bubba (Jessica) Kennedy, Tifton, GA; her grandchildren, Zach (Christie) Kennedy, Warner Robins, GA; Alex (Stephanie) Kennedy; Hunter Faulk, Flint Faulk and Julian Faulk all of Tifton. Her great grandchildren, Allie and Cohen Kennedy, Warner Robins, GA; Kendall Kennedy, Tifton, GA.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM till 7:30 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
