Doug Carter

Memorial Services for Doug Carter age 65, of Ashburn will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn 1st United Methodist Church. Mr. Carter died Thursday at his residence after a sudden illness.

Mr. Carter was a lifelong resident of Turner County the son of the late Roy Dean & Flora Daphnia Hudgins Carter, Sr. He was of the Methodist Faith and had served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the V. F. W. in Tifton, GA and the N. R. A. and was a retired Electrical Estimator for Albany Electric Co.

Survivors include is wife Rhonda West Carter and his children Austin Carter and Erin Carter Babb and a grandson Liam Babb, all of Ashburn, GA his brothers Mike Carter and Dusty Carter both of Locust Grove, GA, Harold Carter, Ashburn, GA, Jim Carter and Alan Carter both of Tifton, GA and Dennis Carter, Sycamore, GA and his sisters Myra Oliver and Marcia Britt both of Tifton, GA.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church, Saturday afternoon from 1:00 P. M. until the hour of services in the church.
