Edna Ward

Funeral services for Edna Kennedy Ward, age 79, 680 Warwick Highway, Ashburn, will be held Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Ward died Thursday at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident..

Mrs. Ward was born in Worth County, Georgia and had resided all of her life in Turner County. She was the daughter of the late Alex & Minnie Moore Watson. She was a homemaker, a member of the Dakota Baptist Church and the Keenagers Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband J.L. Kennedy in 1973 and Milton L. Ward, Sr. in 1993.

She is survived by one son, Ray W. Kennedy and one daughter Linda K. Ingram both of Ashburn; her grandchildren Richard Kennedy, Tifton, Melissa Smith, Helena, Ga., Tonya Barbee, Ashburn, David Kennedy, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Great Grandchild Cody Smith, Helena, Ga. She is also survived by one brother, Charles Watson, Ashburn, two sisters, Irene Kennedy, Ashburn and Izona Alligood, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Meservey and Avis Wiggins.

Visitation will be Friday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
