Funeral Services for Joseph Ralph Lumpkin, age 69, of Ashburn will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Harmony Baptist Church in Turner County with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Lumpkin died Thursday morning at his residence.
A native of Sumner, GA he was the son of the late J. D. & Margaret Elizabeth Stewart Lumpkin. He was retired from Plant Telephone and currently was a farmer. He was a Mason member of Sycamore Lodge # 210 F. & A. M., a member of the N. R. A., an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed traveling, and most of all being with his family. He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church, had lived most of his life in Turner County, and served in the U.S.A.F.
Survivors include his wife Donna Burdett Lumpkin, Ashburn, GA and his children Deedy (Eric) Eidenire, Warwick, GA, Kayla (Matthew) Shipley, Fayetteville, NC, and Jaclyn Lumpkin, Clinton, SC and his grandchildren John, Brian and Rachel Eidenire, Warwick, GA, and brothers, Dorsey (Sandy) Lumpkin, Ashburn, GA, Larry (Sharon) Lumpkin, Marietta, GA, and his sister, Marguerite (Buddy) Lewis, Cordele, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday, evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Perry Funeral Chapel.
