Rex Kennedy

Funeral services for Rex Kennedy, 82, of Ashburn, Ga. will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, June l, 2014 at the Perry Funeral Chapel, Inc. Mr. Kennedy passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Tift Regional Hospital after a short illness.

The son of Donald A. and Frances Ann Booker Kennedy, he was born in Decker, Michigan. Mr. Kennedy was the retired owner and operator of Arabi Homes, INC. in Arabi, GA. He was a member of the Elks Club of Lake City, Florida, a Mason of Sycamore Lodge, Shriner of the Hasan Temple, Albany, Ga., Past Director of Colony Bank, served for several years as Chairman of the Industrialized Building Advisory Committee of the Georgia DCA and a member of the Wanee Lake Country Club for 48 years serving as President for several terms. Mr. Kennedy served in the U. S. Air Force during the Koran Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Belva B. Kennedy of Ashburn and a sister Janet K. Adler of Bad Axe, Michigan.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until hour of service.
