George Norris "Frog" Vance

Graveside Funeral services for George Norris "Frog" Vance. 78, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held at l0:00 AM, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Vance passed away, Monday, June 23, 2014 at his granddaughter's home after a extended illness..

The son of the late George Thomas and Lula Mae Adair Vance. He was born in Turner County and had lived in Turner County all of his life. Mr.Vance served in the US Army from September 1958 until September l964. Norris was a retired farmer and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Lou Tucker Vance.

Survivors include his daughter Christy (Danny) V. Jones of Ashburn, Ga. a granddaughter Krystyn, (Craig) Youngblood of Ocilla, Ga., grandson Dan Jones, Jr. of Arabi, Ga. and great grandchildren Kael and Peyt Youngblood of Ocilla, Ga. He is also survived by a brother Jimmy (Diane) Vance of Albany, Ga. and a sister Geneva V. (Ralph) Hawes of Sycamore, Ga.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from five until seven at the Perry Funeral Chapel, Inc.
