Rowena Sellers

Funeral services for Rowena Giddens Sellers, 53, of Cordele, Ga. will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, July 6, 2014 at New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. Ms. Sellers passed away, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Crisp Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

She daughter of the late William "Bill" Williford and Mae Pearl Ward Giddens, she was born in Tifton, GA. Ms. Sellers was a Federal State Inspector and member of New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Rex Giddens and Clint Giddens.

Survivors include her husband James Sellers of Wenona, GA and one daughter Kandi (Bairon) Samayoa of North Augusta, SC. She is also survived by four brothers Roger Giddens, Randy Giddens, Riley Giddens and Garland Giddens--all of Ashburn, GA and two sisters Rachel Giddens of Ashburn, GA and Betty Jean Griffith of Dawson, GA.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:30 until the hour of services at the church.
