Edward Ray Black

Funeral services for Edward Ray Black. 81, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held at ll:00 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Perry Funeral Chapel, Inc. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn, Ga. Mr. Black passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his residence following a short illness.

The son of the late Henry Lloyd and Martha Idell Hampton Black, he was born in Sylvester, Ga. He had lived most of his life in Turner County, Ga. He served in the U. S. Army and the Koren War. He was a retired supervisor of Cornerstone Manufacturing .

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Scott Black, sons Ray Eric (Karen) Black of Pearson, Ga., Todd (Dawn) Black of Ashburn, Ga., daughter Jodye (Billy) Jones of Sylvester, Ga. , brothers Billy R. Black, Ashburn, Ga., Hurbert Black, Sylvester, Ga. David "Timmy" Black, Sycamore, Ga. and Joe R. Black, Ft. Myers, Fl. Also surviving are Seven grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 18, 2014 from six until eight at the Perry Funeral Chapel.
