Donna Shivers

Funeral services for Donna Shivers, 48, of Rebecca, Ga., will be held at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday July 22, 2014 at the Rebecca Baptist Church in Rebecca, Ga. Interment will follow at Live Oak cemetery in Turner County, Ga. Mrs. Shivers passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness.

The daughter of Donald Lee and Alice Joan Miller Nipper, she was born in Cordele, Ga..She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church. She was a member of the WMU, a former Sunday School teacher, and was a faithful caregiver to many friends and shut ins.

Survivors include her husband Ben Shivers, of Rebecca, Ga., parents Donald and Alice Nipper of Seville, Ga., son Blake (Brandy) Owens of Ashburn, Ga., daughters Whitney Owens and Crystal Owens both of Ashburn, Ga., brother David Nipper of Seville, Ga., sisters Connie N. Little, Ashburn, Ga., and Cheryl Conner of Pitts, Ga., grandmother, Alma Nipper of Cordele, Ga., and six grandchildren, Hunter, Gavin, Gage, Gabby, Haven and Jalynn.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from One until the hour of service at the Rebecca Baptist Church.
