Shelby Ward Haynes

Funeral services for Shelby Jean Ward Haynes, 75, of Ashburn, Ga., will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Perry Funeral Chapel, Inc. in Ashburn, Ga. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn, Ga. Mrs. Haynes passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness.

The daughter of Eddie Carl and Desma Lucille Walls Ward, she was born in Ashburn, Ga. She was a retired hair stylist. She was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church in Sycamore, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Golan Haynes, a son Danny Lionel Mayo, two brothers , W. L. Ward and Tommy Ward, a sister, Claudine Conn.

Survivors include her son, David Mayo, step daughter Elaine Ranee Limbaugh of Huey Town, Al., four sisters, Barbara Burdett and Linda Shirah of Ashburn, Ga., Debbie Cook of Norwich, Vermont, and Cindy Smith of Arabi, Ga., two grandchildren, Kelly NaShae Mayo and David Thomas Mayo, and two great-grandchilren, Mikel David Mayo and Ashley Morgan Mayo.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 23, 2014 from One until the hour of service at Perry Funeral Chapel, Inc.
