Jean Daniel

Funeral services for Jean Daniel, 78, of 754 Whatley Drive, Ashburn, GA., will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday September 22, 2014 at the Sycamore United Methodist Church in Sycamore, GA. Interment will follow at Kimbrell Cemetery in Worth County, GA. Mrs. Daniel passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Worth County, Mrs. Daniel was the daughter of the late Robert Toombs Daniel and Ivey Mae Carter Daniel. She retired from the Turner County Board of Education where she worked as a secretary. She was an member of Sycamore United Methodist Church and a supporter of the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed reading, cooking and the beach but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Danny (Debbie) Godwin of Sycamore, GA., Stephen Craig (Brenda) Godwin of Cordele, GA., and Tracy (Kelli) Moreland of Melrose, FL. Several grandchildren including Jamie Godwin, Jared Godwin, Dana Jones, Austin Moreland, Jeremy Moreland, Steven Godwin, Stephen Godwin, Jr., Melissa Lane, Victoria Lamb, Walter Trussell and Angie Laing, Michelle Foster, Carroll Malone, Mikie Godwin, Nikki Godwin, Dustin Clark and Justin Clark. Several great grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by two sons, John Michael "Mike" Godwin, Sr. and Richard Donovan Godwin and a daughter, Rhonda Eugenia Moreland.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. at the funeral home.
