Sara Virginia King Yown

Funeral Services for Sara Virginia King Yown, 84, of Sylvester, Ga., will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Turner County, Ga. Mrs. Yown passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the Rehabilitation Center of South GA due to an extended illness.

The daughter of the late Jerry Andrew and Katie Belle McQue King, she was born in Waterloo, Ga.. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Poulan, Ga. She was also a widow of the late Jesse Tillman Yown.

Survivors include her daughter, Vera Virginia Bishop of Calhoun Ga., sons Jessie (Linda) Yown of Chula, Ga., Jerry (Cindy) Yown of Ocilla, Ga., Charles Yown of Sylvester, Ga., brother Jack King of Florida, sisters Thelma Kirkland of Florida, Susie Kirkland of Florida, Florence Yown of Ashburn, Ga., ten grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening October 21, 2014 from seven until nine at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
