Walter Burgess

Graveside funeral services for Walter Stephens Burgess, 75, of Ashburn, GA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 6, 2015 at The New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County, GA. Mr. Burgess passed away Thursday after an extended illness.

The son of the late Arthur Richard and Audrey Mae Greer Burgess and was a member of The New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from The US Marine Logistics Supply Base in Albany, GA. He also served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the widow of the late Brenda Louise Arnold Burgess.

Survivors include his brothers, Fred Burgess of Cordele, GA and Robert Burgess of Athens, GA. He is also survived by a large number of nieces and nephews including his caregivers Donnie and Angelia Cook of Ashburn, GA.
