Betty Joyce Meadows Dean

Betty Joyce Meadows Dean, 74, of Ashburn passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 after an extended illness.

Born on November 5, 1940 to the late Hoke Smith and Christine West Meadows, she was a former member of Westside Baptist Church. Betty was also a retired seamstress from the sewing industry.

Mrs. Dean is survived by her sons, Charles (Crystal) Dean of Ashburn and Tommy (Mary) Dean of Cordele; a daughter, Triscilla (Eddie Joe) Bryan of Ashburn; a sister, Mary Ann Manders of Cordele; grandchildren, Amber Bryan, Michael Bryan, Heather Dean, Teresa Mosley, John David Foster, Mary Elaine Kitchens, Amanda Headrick, Tonya Rudder, April Jones and Jolie Dean. She is also survived by 32 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Ann Clements.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Arabi Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Friday at the funeral home.
