Roy Daniel "Danny" Swanson

Roy Daniel "Danny" Swanson of Ashburn passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at his residence. Danny was 68.

Born in Fitzgerald to the late Roy Odell and Ruby Hazel Kimbrell Swanson, he was a retired cable splicer with the Alltel Phone Company and a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Swanson is survived by his son, Lance (Kimberly) Swanson of Tifton; three brothers, Wayne (Jean) Swanson of Statesboro, Tracy (Margie) Swanson of Fitzgerald, and Freddie (Janet) Swanson of Douglas; two sisters, Linda (Ricky) Mixon of Ocilla and Brenda Swanson Dix of Ocilla; and two grandchildren, Graham Swanson of Tifton and Hatcher Swanson of Tifton.

Memorial services will be Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:30 until the hour of the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donors favorite charity in Mr. Swanson's memory.
