Funeral services for Dorothy Wadsworth Capps, age 80 of 200 Watson Circle, Sycamore, Georgia will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at the Chapel of Morrison Funeral Home, Pembroke, Ga., with burial to follow in the Lower Black Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Capps died Sunday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
Mrs. Capps was a native of Bryan County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late William Perry and Tucy Lee Clanton. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert L. Wadsworth in 1978 whom she was married to for 37 years, and her second husband Clinton Capps in 1978 whom she was married to for five years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class.
Survivors are her children, Robert & Joyce Wadsworth, Springfield, Ga., Benjamin P. Wadsworth, Sycamore, Ga., Sandra W. & Larry Muse, Ashburn, Ga., Lynne W. & John Merritt, Patricia W. Tolbert, Donna W. & Randy Holley, Teresa W. & Wendell Lupo, all of Sycamore, Georgia and Pam W. & Johnny Whiddon, Morven, Ga.; Sister and Brother, Bessie Bazemore, Pembroke, Ga. and Mellie C. Clanton, Savannah, Ga. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: William J. Clanton, Emma C. Shuman, Mildred C. Jones, Betty C. Floyd.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from Six until Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, Ga. and Tuesday evening from Seven until Nine at Morrison Funeral Home, Pembroke, Ga.
