Charles Jack Sargent

Funeral Services for Charles Jack Sargent, 79, of Milledgeville, GA will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 25, 2015 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Zion Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Crisp County. Mr. Sargent passed away Thursday after an extended illness.

The son of the late Austin Lee and Sarah Margaret Merritt Sargent, he was born in Crisp County, Ga on December 21, 1935. Mr. Sargent was a retired Assistant Director of Residence Halls at the University of Miami. He was a member of the Baptist faith community.

Survivors include his wife Betty Braswell Sargent, three sons Charles D. (Kimberly) Sargent of Snellville, Ga, Dennis M. (Linda) Sargent of Myrtle Beach, SC, Timothy D. (Kaye) Sargent of Milledgeville, Ga, one daughter Cheryl A. (Benny) Nodarse of Miami, Fl, one brother Leon Sargent of Remlap, Al, one sister Lucine S. Gaulding of Duluth, Ga, six grandchildren Kyle (Lisa) Sargent, Kelly Sargent, Lynn Sargent, Steven Sargent, Vincent Nodarse, and Jessica Nodarse.

The family will receive friends Monday morning, May 25, 2015 from ten until the hour of service at Perry Funeral Chapel.
