John and Katherine Brooks Alberson

Memorial Funeral Services for John and Katherine Brooks Alberson of TyTy, GA will be held, Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mrs. Alberson, 82, passed away at her residence on April 6, 2015 and Mr. Alberson passed away at Tift Regional Medical Center on May 25, 2015. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery in Turner County, GA.

Mrs. Alberson was the daughter of the late Ned Tom and Willie Mae Hartsfield Brooks and was born in Colquitt County, GA and was a home maker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Estell Brooks and her brothers, Roy Brooks and Everette Brooks.

Mr. Alberson was the son of the late Hulbert Gordon and Cora Alice Hendon Alberson and was born in Turner County, GA. Mr. Alberson was retired from the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also a retired building contractor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Wynn and Shirley Smith and his brothers, Paul Alberson, Loyce Alberson and Loye Alberson.

Surviving Mr. and Mrs. Alberson is their daughter and her husband, Barbara A. and Versel “Jim” Kane of Worth County, GA; their grandchildren, Carrie Martin, Sheila Chung and Harold Martin; great grandchildren, Zachary Chung, Zachary Martin, Dawson Martin and Josh Martin.

Mr. Alberson is also survived by a brother, Bobby Alberson of Chula, GA and his sister, Jane Alberson Harris of Corsicana, TX.
