Virginia McAfee

Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Virginia Smith McAfee, 82, of Albany will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Ga. Mrs. McAfee passed away Thursday at an Albany Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander and Lola Musselwhite Smith. Sr.. A native of Crisp Co., Georgia she had been a long time resident of Crisp and Wilcox Counties until she moved to Dougherty Co. in 1994. Mrs. McAfee was a homemaker. She was the widow of Mr. Doster P. McAfee and was preceded in death by one brother Charles Alexander Smith, Jr.

Survivors include her sisters Geraldine (Mrs. Clarence) Cross of Arabi, Ga., Louise Calhoun of Leesburg, Ga. and Elizabeth Arnett, Jonesboro, Ga.; a brother Wayne (Shirley) Smith of Jasper, Fla. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
