Charles Wiggins, Sr.

Charles Wiggins, Sr., 75 of Ashburn, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany following an extended illness.

Born on July 24, 1940 to the late James Falton and Annie Watson Wiggins, Mr. Wiggins was a farmer and a member of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Avis Watson Wiggins and his siblings, Evelyn Wright, Christine Cleghorn, and Alice Brock.

Mr. Wiggins is survived by his sons, Junior Wiggins of Ashburn and Michael E. (Mindy) Wiggins of Ashburn; brother, Bobby (Diane) Wiggins of Ashburn; sister, Inez Coleman of Woodstock; grandchildren, Brian (Katelyn) Wiggins of Wilcox, County, Matt (Lacey) Wiggins of Wilcox, County, Jessica (Billy) James of Ashburn, Justin (Abbie) Wiggins of Ashburn, Katie Wiggins of Ashburn, and Katlyn Bellamy of Ashburn. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, August 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
