O. F. "Oscar" McSwain

Funeral Services for O. F. “Oscar” McSwain, age 87 of South Railroad St., Rebecca, Georgia will be held at 2:00 P. M. Sunday June 5, 2005, at the Rebecca Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County, Ga.
Mr. McSwain died Friday at Tift Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

Mr. McSwain was a native of Irwin County, Ga. the son of the late Albert Abner “Ab” and Mattie Frank Moore McSwain. He was a retired carpenter and owner and operator of McSwain’s Produce. He had been a resident of Rebecca since the mid 1940s and attended the Rebecca Baptist Church and was a member of the Primetimers and Keenagers Club.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Fellows McSwain of Rebecca, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Gwendell & Louve McSwain of Gray, Dennis & Reatha McSwain of Pitts, and Carlos & Barbara McSwain of Valdosta, one daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Bill McCranie of Brookfield. A brother Horace McSwain of Irwinville and eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by two grandchildren, Denise McSwain-1976 and Luke Alberson-1995 and five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be Saturday evening six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
