Rachel Jackson

Funeral Services for Rachel Jackson, 86, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2005 at the Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM, Friday in the Peachtree Memorial Park in Atlanta. Mrs. Jackson died at her residence Tuesday after an extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late Doctor Nelson and Cora Edna Greene Loftis and was born in Spartanburg Co., S.C. She was the widow of Mr. Luther Holcombe Jackson. She was a long time resident of Forsyth County, Georgia before moving to Turner County thirteen months ago. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and the James Layfield Sunday School Class. Mrs. Jackson was a Patient Attendant at Chamblee Retardation Center in Chamblee.

Survivors include her son, Luther “Jack” Jackson of Atlanta, Ga.; her daughter, Martha “Marti” Warren, Sycamore, Ga.; her grandchildren, Jimmie Warren of Leesburg, Ga., Thomas Warren and his wife Mary of Franklin, Penn.; Timothy Warren and his wife Suzanne of Sycamore, Ga. Her Great-Grandchildren Matthew Jackson Warren, MaryRachel Fowler Warren and Martha Grace Warren all of Sycamore, Ga. and Ashley Marie Warren of Franklin, Penn.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from Six till Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
