Vivian Taylor Lane

Vivian Taylor Lane, 96, of Rebecca, Georgia, died January 8, 2016, at Life Care in Fitzgerald.

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rebecca Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lane was born July 29, 1919, in Ben Hill County to the late John Horton and Callie Belle Mann Taylor. Having been born into a farming family, and later marrying into a farming family, instilled in Vivian a natural love of the land and animals. She would sit up all night when necessary to help deliver a new calf or a new puppy. She loved her Rebecca Baptist Church where she was an active member for approximately 80 years.

She is survived by nieces Dolores A. Bailey of Thomasville, GA, Gloria K. Williamson of Fitzgerald, GA, Carolyn K. Livingston of Blairsville GA, and Beverly A. Lavender of Fitzgerald, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Lane, her daughter Lana Lane, and two sisters: Mary Keene Heard of Abbeville and Tommie Alligood of Fitzgerald.
