Rosa Mae Oliver

Funeral services for Rosa Mae Oliver, age 92, 703 Denham Rd., Sycamore, Ga. will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Oliver died Monday, June 13, 2005 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton following a sudden illness.

Mrs. Oliver was born in Madison County, Georgia and was the daughter of John Eubanks and Sarah Hattie Hicks Edwards. Mrs. Oliver was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and the Keenagers Club. She was a homemaker and the widow of James Frank Oliver. She was a longtime resident of the Atlanta area before moving to Sycamore in 1967.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra O. Spradley, Ashburn, Ga., brother, Hoyt Edwards; sisters, Ella Ruth Edwards and Robbie Lee Edwards, all of Lithonia, Ga.; four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Clyde W. Morrison.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, Ga.
