David Hanner

David Hanner, 59, of Ashburn passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Tift Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

Born on November 7, 1956 to the late Hilrey Averitt and Angie Jeanette Studdard Hanner, he was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Hanner was the Owner and Operator of Hanner Transport, Inc. as well as a member of the Ashburn First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Kim McBrayer Hanner of Ashburn; sons, Justin (Kelley) Hanner of Rebecca and Jorden (Kim) Hanner of Ashburn; sister, Marilyn (Earl) Perry of Ashburn; grandchildren, Mayghan Hanner, Garrett Hanner and a future grandson to be born in March.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Angie H. Richter and a nephew, Jeff Richter.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Ashburn First Baptist Church with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM-2:45 PM prior to the service at the church.

Flowers will be accepted but for those that wish to do so donations may be made to the Georgia Baptist Children's Home in Mr. Hanner's memory.
